History
Born in 1996 in the city of Juiz De Fora - Minas Gerais, Victor Xavier Tolentino, also known as Rubick, has always been involved with art since he was a child. At the age of 7, he entered the world of music, starting to play the drums. At the age of 13, he had his first contact with dance, which opened the way to a new world where he sought to dedicate himself and become a professional, going through groups, companies and crews, always passionate about the competitive environment. In 2019, he moved to Belo Horizonte, to work with dance, and fully dedicate himself to his goals, giving classes, studying dances, competing, etc. In addition to body movement, he has always loved technology, took web design courses as a teenager, started editing his own videos and carrying out small projects at the age of 15, but it was only in 2020 during the pandemic that he began to awaken his true interest in visual effects (VFX). Due to social distancing, he began to study, take courses and invest in this area, seeking knowledge of animation, special effects, simulations and everything that encompasses CGI. In 2023 he moved to the state of São Paulo, in Araraquara, and currently works with VFX, combined with all his other artistic veins.

Dance
Throughout his career, he has studied and practiced several dance styles, such as Hip Hop, Tutting, Flexing, Waving, Free Step, Animation, among others. He has always attended events, workshops and battles throughout Brazil. He is a member of the Remiwl Street Crew. Member and founder of the Crew Área Artística 51 (A.A.51). He has worked as a dancer and choreographer in some Remiwl shows, among other events throughout Brazil with the group. He was also part of the Laia Company in Belo Horizonte for a period. He has participated in some music videos, such as Pablo Escobar from DubDogz, among other projects. His current research is focused on Freestyle within dance, focusing on the development of body awareness. His study follows an experimental line where the idea is not to stick to a specific style, but rather, with all the body baggage acquired, to create and develop his own language within dance.
Vfx
Since he was young, he has always edited videos, both personal and alternative projects as well as small projects. But it was in 2020 that he really took on video editing as his main career, specializing in VFX.

What Is Vfx
VFX is short for Visual Effects, also known as CGI (Computer Graphic Imagery). While widely used in major film and series productions, I bring these techniques to all types of productions, especially marketing. Whether it' s people, products, advertising, or anything else that creativity can imagine.
To develop my VFX projects, I work with the following tools

Techniques I use to work
Camera Tracking
Camera Tracking is the technique that involves analyzing camera movement in a live shot to create corresponding motion data in a 3D environment. This allows graphic elements or 3D models to be inserted into the scene in a realistic manner, while maintaining consistency with the original camera movements and perspective
Rotoscoping
Rotoscoping is the process of drawing or masking elements frame by frame in a video. It is often used to isolate actors or objects from the background, allowing them to be digitally manipulated or replaced. This technique is essential for creating precise and complex visual effects.
3D Insertion
It involves the integration of three-dimensional models into a live footage. Using camera tracking data, the 3D models are positioned and animated in such a way that they appear to be part of the real environment, allowing the creation of scenes that would be impossible or impractical to film in real life.
3D Animation
3D animation is the technique of creating movement in three-dimensional objects. It includes modeling, where objects are created, texturing, where the surfaces of models are detailed with colors and patterns, and animation, where objects are moved and manipulated to tell a story or create an effect.
Physics Simulations
They are used to replicate real-world physical behaviors in a virtual environment. This includes simulating gravity, collisions, fluids, and other natural phenomena to create visual effects that respond realistically to physical interactions.
Smoke Simulations
It involves the digital creation of smoke, vapor or fog, using complex algorithms that simulate the movement and dispersion of these particles in the air. These simulations are used to add realism to scenes of fire, explosions and foggy environments.
Particle Simulations:
Particle simulations are used to create effects such as sparks, dust, rain, and magic. Thousands or even millions of individual particles are generated and manipulated to create complex collective behaviors, allowing for the creation of detailed and dynamic effects.
Composition
Compositing is the technique of combining multiple visual elements into a single image or scene. Using masks, layers, and effects, elements from multiple sources can be integrated to create a cohesive and visually stunning scene. It is essential for the integration of CGI and VFX into filmmaking.
